About Factnexts
Factnexts started as a private index — a place to keep the studios worth returning to and the reference material worth re-reading. Everything else grew from that habit.
We treat the site as a two-room house: on one side, a hand-picked local directory; on the other, a shelf of downloadable reference material. Both are kept intentionally small so the index stays honest.
There is no editorial calendar. Entries are added when they are ready, filed when they are worth filing, and cross-linked so a reader can follow a thread from a place to a page and back.
If you find something worth adding, the door is open.
What we care about, in practice.
Hand-picked, not auto-imported
Every directory record is written by a contributor who has actually visited. Every reference is read before it goes on the shelf.
Kept intentionally small
We would rather have a hundred entries worth returning to than ten thousand that no one reads twice.
Cross-linked by hand
The two rooms of the house share a search and a shelf. A place can link to a page; a page can point to a place.
